Baseball Clinic

Do to our lack of Internet we haven't been able to update until now. We had two wonderful days building relationships with the players and some of the curious adults. We shared testimonies, and through that we found that one of the players went to church for the first time in a long time, which is not normal for him. Our wonderful hosts, Julie and Karl, have not stopped feeding us or making us feel welcome! There's a great ministry here with several opportunities for others who feel led to go on mission trips. Pray for us as we travel home in the morning.

Today was such a blessing. Everyone was working together to get insulation in and drywall up for the restrooms at the camp. Everything is so beautiful out here. I think we really take our surroundings for granted. It's just amazing what God has created, and that we have the opportunity to see it on a daily basis! We met one of Karl and Julie's local friends and she was just so sweet and has a passion for the Lord! She even gave us all little gifts for coming here, how thoughtful! Before we went into town this evening, we all got our gloves out and tossed the ball around. With that being said, please keep us in your prayers for the first day of baseball camp tomorrow! We appreciate all of you!

Day 2 - Finally Here!

First off, I would like to apologize for not posting yesterday. It was crazy with our flights, and by the time we got to the camp it was almost 11:00 pm. We didn't have any problems at the airport yesterday, and all of our luggage arrived safely! Praise the Lord for that! We got to meet the people that are running the baseball camp when we got here. They are wonderful! We look forward to serving alongside them. They took us to a local Serbian deli, and the food was wonderful! Even I liked it, and for those of you who know me know that I'm a very picky eater! We stayed at the camp last night, and it is very nice. They have done a great job renovating so far. Dee and I woke up to the men working hard on putting Sheetrock in the bathrooms, and then we were served a traditional Serbian breakfast. It was so delicious! There is a lot planned for today, so I will update when we get back to the camp tonight. Please pray that the rest of this trip goes smoothly, and that we are able to show the love of Jesus to everyone we come in contact with!

P.S. If you'd like to see photos of the trip, go follow the Facebook page Serving in Serbia.

Travel - Day 1

God guided our path on day one, and found out that our timing and plans are not His. We missed our first connection due to weather. We got to spend the night and day in Atlanta, and got to fellowship with each other by trusting in His provision. We plan on arriving in Serbia on Thursday, a day later than we had hoped, but with servant hearts. We know God has a great plan for this trip, and please pray for each of us that we will share His message and salvation to the people of Serbia.

Blessings from the team,
